About Me
I’m Tanzeela Sadiq, a Clinical Psychologist with over 14 years of experience in the mental health field. I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, relational difficulties, and the deeper patterns that can keep us feeling stuck — no matter how hard we try to move forward.
My qualifications include a Bachelor of Psychology, a Master of Science in Applied Psychology, and a Post-Master’s Advanced Diploma in Clinical Psychology. I am registered with the Psychology Board of Australia with an Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario, Canada.
My Approach
My approach is holistic and tailored to you. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I gently invite you to explore the deeper roots of what you’re experiencing — while also helping you recognise the strengths and resources you already carry within you.
This dual focus — understanding what has shaped you, and reconnecting with your capacity for growth — is at the heart of how I work. Each person is different, and so is every treatment plan. I integrate a range of evidence-based therapies thoughtfully, guided always by what will best serve you.
My Philosophy
I believe that psychological distress is not a sign that something is fundamentally wrong with you. Trauma, pain, and difficult patterns are deeply human experiences — and like physical health conditions, they deserve compassionate, skilled, and non-judgemental support.
Through both lived experience and years of clinical practice, I have come to believe that beneath most human suffering is a shared longing — to feel worthy, accepted, and unconditionally loved.
This understanding is at the heart of the work I do. Through trauma processing, building inner resources, and cultivating a kinder relationship with yourself first, I support clients in reconnecting with something that has always been there — a deeper sense of safety, self-worth, and belonging.
In my own life, music, poetry, spirituality, meditation, and creative writing have been profound sources of healing and self-connection. This personal experience has shaped my belief that recovery is not one-size-fits-all. Part of our work together may involve gently exploring what your own unique resources and pathways are — the things that help you feel grounded, worthy, and connected to something meaningful within yourself.
Growth is rarely linear. There will be moments of clarity and moments of doubt, breakthroughs and setbacks. I hold space for all of it — without judgement, and without rushing you toward an outcome that isn’t yours yet. My role is to walk alongside you, at your pace and in your own rhythm, as you find your way back to yourself.
