These hours may vary, particularly during NSW School holiday periods. I do not offer appointments in the evening or on weekends for my NSW clients.
Session Formats: In-Person & Telehealth
The Inner Leadership Psychology Practice offers both in-person sessions at my North Sydney practice and secure video telehealth sessions. Please note: in-person sessions do not currently have availability, while telehealth sessions are open and accepting new clients.
For telehealth sessions, video allows the closest experience to meeting in person, helping us connect effectively. For this reason, Tanzeela does not offer therapy sessions by phone. Your telehealth link will be sent to you via email approximately 5 minutes before your scheduled session. Please ensure you are ready to join at your appointment time and check your inbox (and spam/junk folder if needed).
TELEHEALTH SESSIONS — ONTARIO CLIENTS
Because I work from Australia (AEST), what falls during my regular daytime hours often lines up with weekends, evenings, and after-hours availability for clients in Ontario — making it easier to find appointment times outside their typical workday (please contact me to inquire more).
Each counselling session is approximately 53 minutes in duration. All sessions start promptly at the scheduled appointment time, as Tanzeela prioritizes punctuality out of respect for the busy lives of clients.
The current waiting period is between 1-2 weeks, depending on the day/time. Tanzeela maintains a daily appointment waitlist and will text if earlier appointments become available. To ensure continuity of therapy, Tanzeela will usually pre-book 4-6 appointments for each client.
Tanzeela aims to be punctual for all appointments, as she understands that clients have work and other commitments. It is preferred if you are on-time, as Tanzeela plans her therapy interventions based on a full session.
If you are late for a scheduled appointment, please note:
- As a courtesy, please text(not call) Tanzeela to let her know when you will arrive.
- If you are not in the Practice or online after 5 minutes, Tanzeela will text you.
- If you do not text Tanzeela within 20 minutesof your appointment time, Tanzeela will cancel the appointment (cancellation fees apply). If you text, Tanzeela will wait for you.
- If you do not attend your appointment, the cancellation fees below will apply.
Unfortunately, sessions cannot be extended due to lateness, as this will impact other clients.
A minimum of 48 hours notice (from your appointment time/date) is required to reschedule or cancel a session without incurring any fees. This policy is in place to allow Tanzeela time to offer the appointment to another client on her waitlist.
- Cancellation within 24-48 hours notice: 50%
-
- Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice: 100%
- Non-attendance: 100%
No further sessions will be booked if you refuse to pay the cancellation fee.
Note – Receipts for Medicare and health fund claiming cannot be provided for cancellation or non-attendance fees. For cancellations Medicare rebates cannot be charged.
Non attendance / No show – If you do not turn up for your session, the full fee must be paid regardless of the reason, as Tanzeela will be prepared and waiting for you, and will not have had the opportunity to offer the appointment to another client. The non attendance cancellation fee must be paid before further appointments can be booked.
Unpaid/late session fees – all fees are due before session on the date of each appointment by bank transfer. If follow-up is required, a $10 late payment administration fee may be added to the amount due. Unfortunately, therapy will not continue if a session fee is unpaid.
Cancellations of TWO consecutive appointments: Sessions are booked with therapeutic outcomes in mind. Unfortunately, if you cancel two or more sessions consecutively, we will need to discuss what is happening and how/if we can move forward together to achieve your goals. Uncovering any barriers to attendance can be helpful if you are struggling to attend.

The Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan was introduced by the Australian Government to provide additional financial support through Medicare for people with chronic or terminal medical conditions. A chronic medical condition is one that has been (or is likely to be) present for six months or longer. Examples include asthma, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, epilepsy, musculoskeletal conditions and stroke.
You may be eligible if your chronic or terminal medical condition requires the care from a multidisciplinary, team-based approach from your GP and at least 2 other health care providers. There is no list of eligible conditions; however, the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan items are designed for patients who require a structured approach, including those requiring ongoing care from a multidisciplinary team.
Whether someone is eligible for Chronic Disease Management (CDM) services is a clinical judgement for your GP, taking into account your medical condition and care needs, as well as the general guidance set out in the Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS). A referral is valid for the stated number of services.
Yes, up to a maximum of five cases at a time. Tanzeela can provide these services for psychological injury, provided there is approved insurance claim.
